New Dogs Recording of "Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth" Available at 12bands.org

The Blue Dogs recorded a Christmas classic, the well-known "Little Drummer Boy" but a not-so-well-known version that appeared on the 1977 Bing Crosby special that included David Bowie singing a countermelody called "Peace on Earth." The song was recorded this Fall with our friends Doug Derryberry (in Brooklyn) and Buddy Strong (in Campobello SC) and it was given to our friends at 12bands.org to be a part of their "INSTANT CHRISTMAS CLASSICS VOL. 1" on sale for only $5.00. In addition to the new Blue Dogs recording, featuring Bobby and Hank with Doug, Parker Dewitt, and James Bernabe, the compilation includes songs by Kristian Bush of Sugarland, Patrick Davis, and Emily Hearn, among others. Click HERE to purchase the CD today, and give them as stocking stuffers...for a great cause, the fight to end pediatric cancer. Happy Holidays!

James Bernabe, Mando Man!

Our very own mandolin player James Bernabe was feature in the Winston-Salem Journal yesterday for his accomplishments as a “luthier,” a self-taught builder of mandolins. Read the article HERE !
